Chester F. Brake (90) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 15, 2018. He was born in Rome, Missouri and spent most of his life in Springfield, Missouri, where he worked and raised his family.
Chet was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Brake and daughter Nancy Sue, and many other family members.
He was retired from Lilly Tulip, with 35 years of service. Chet loved his family and friends, he also loved hunting, fishing, gardening and family get-togethers.
Chet was known for his quick wit and funny quotes. He was a member of Calvary Christian Assemblies of God Church, where he was a greeter and usher. He planted a garden on the church property for many years, with his friend Paul.
Survivors include daughter Judy Mears and friend Darrell, grand-daughters: Robin Lawrence and husband Richard: Michelle Mears , Grandsons: Robert Mears and Dustin Kliewer and his wife, Yulia. He also had 7 great-grandsons and 2 great-great- grand children. He is also survived by a sister Beverly Hamilton and her husband Al, and also by a host of family and friends who dearly admire and love him.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with Graveside services following at 2:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
