Christine Marie Brooks 64, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away January 31, 2019 at Cox South. She was born March 4,1955 in Chicago Il. Christine was a graduate of Gulf High School, New Port Richey , Florida.

Christine was very active and supported many organizatons with her generosity and time. Some of them include, Least of These that grows and provides garden vegetable for those in need; Blues Society, a non-profit organizaton supporting musicians and their music; participating in the funding for Rockin Ribs. Christine loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing music and spending time with her family and friends.

She was married to her beloved husband, Rick Brooks, May 23, 2005 at Lake Tahoe. Surviving also are two daughters, Nikki Burriss with husband Gene Cadden, with Christie Burriss and husband Brad Taylor.

Also surviving is her brother Steven Bashaw and wife Laura; mother-in-law, Sylvia Brooks. Nieces and nephews, Jenny Jones Kimmy Bashaw, Drew Bashaw, and Daniel Bashaw.

Christine loved her grandchildren, Claudia Burriss, Ryan Cadden, Marissa McCrumb and Louis Pertos.

Christine shared her life with friends Fay Walker, Bruce and Karen Armstrong, Connie Adkins, Scott and Nancy Faught, Dan and Tammy Youngman, Rebecca Chrestman, Kathy Kuykendall, and Melissa Barnes.

Her pets, Blue and Waylan survive her as well.

A memorial visitation for Christine will be held Friday, February 7, 2020, from 6pm – 8pm, at Greenlawn South Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in Christine's memory.
