Our father, Clell Stone Jr., age 88 of Reeds Spring, MO., graduated to heaven on March 24, 2021, at Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, MO.
Dad was born on November 1, 1932 in Ponce De Leon, MO, the son of Clell and Marie Cummings Stone. He was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Branson High School in 1950 and then attaining his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He served in the army, honorably discharged as a staff corporal.
He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Hensley Stone on July 19, 1953, in Highlandville, MO. Survivors are daughter, Cindy Stone of Columbia, MO., four sons: Perry Stone of Clever, Mike Stone and wife Colleen of Republic, Greg Stone and wife Jodi of Branson, and David Stone and wife Teresa of Crane. Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Carolyn Gideon of Springfield and Anna Terry of Walnut Shade. He was preceded in death by mom, his parents and infant daughter, Sharon Stone.
Dad loved the outdoors and his family, with a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and the kids and grandchildren of his cousin Bill. He loved growing tomatoes and selling them at the farmers market as an excuse to visit with locals, where he developed priceless friendships. He loved giving them away even more, to local neighbors and family. Glad you are with Jesus and mom again, and we will see you again soon.
Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
