Clyde Wesley Lockhart, 78, of Springfield, Missouri, left this life on January 20, 2025. He attended Carpenters House Church in Willard, MO. He was born on August 26, 1946, in Midland, Texas to Cliff and Ruby Lee (Treadway) Lockhart. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, his parents, his brothers, George “Butch” Lockhart and Clifford Lockhart, sister Betty Sue Griffith, and son, Daymon Lockhart.
He met Sharon the summer of 1970 and they were married on October 13, 1970 in Durant, Oklahoma. They were blessed with nearly 50 years of marriage. Clyde has two daughters and spouses, Tamara and Steve Lewis, and Christina and Rick Carpenter, and one son and spouse, Sheldon and Tammy Nelson.
Clyde was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and spouses, Judy Lockhart, Holly and Wes Jones, Micah and Sara Henson, Josiah and Nicole Carpenter, Leah and Christopher Vandiver, Samuel and Myrah Carpenter, Christopher Nelson, Garrett Lewis, Nora Lewis, Levi Carpenter, Emily Carpenter, Henry Lewis, Jaeanna Nelson, and Michael Nelson. Clyde also has 13 great-grandkids.
Clyde always enjoyed fixing things and often had several projects going at once. He loved to watch football, and science fiction shows. He also enjoyed taking drives out in the country. Clyde and Sharon enjoyed spending time camping in their RV in and around north Texas.
