Cynthia “Cyndi” Louise Gerald, age 59, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 22, 1955, in Springfield, MO, to Jimmy and Joyce (Spencer) Day. Cyndi graduated from Willard High School. Cyndi enjoyed playing cards and watching her children’s sporting events. Cyndi lived a very selfless life, focusing on taking care of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Joyce Day. She is survived by seven children,Kameeka Gerald, St. Louis, MO, Andrew Conness, Springfield, MO,Trenton Conness, Springfield, MO, Justin Gerald, Nixa, MO, Marcell Cross, Springfield, MO, Marcus Gerald, Round Rock, TX, and Spencer Gerald, Fayette, MO; one brother,Danny, Day, Springfield, MO; one sister, Janie Silkey, Springfield, MO; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Clear Creek Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Cawley officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice in memory of Cyndi. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
