Ms. Daletta Sue Bowden Marsalis (Sue), age 66, of Branson, MO., passed away Saturday morning, June 20, 2020 at her home with her husband Gary. She was born on August 22, 1953, in El Dorado, KS.
Sue was preceded in death by father, Dale Brush, and her mother, Loretta Scuffham (Carnahan). Sue was a loving daughter and spent many years as the primary caregiver for her mother before she passed away in 2013. Sue was also preceded in death by Justin L. Wehling her cousin whom she loved dearly.
Sue is survived by her husband Gary for whom she also took the role as primary caregiver when he was diagnosed with cancer in August 2019. Sue is also survived by her two sons, Scottie and Kalin, wife Kristen and their Daughter Fearra, her siblings Richard (Rick) Brush of Panama City, FL, and Kenetha Stolhand of El Dorado, KS, husband Will, and their family, many aunts and uncles, including many nieces and nephews, and enumerable other loving friends.
Sue was raised in Towanda, KS., and went to high school in Mulvane, KS. After high school, Sue went to school for and taught cosmetology professionally and spent many years as a hairdresser in Wichita, KS. Moving to Branson, MO, in the early 2000s, Sue went on to spend years working in various theaters and organizations around Branson as a hairstylist and many other positions. Sue had a strong faith in God, and she devoted many years to service to the various churches she attended. Sue especially loved children and spent several years teaching junior church services in Wichita, KS, and Hollister, MO. Most of all, Sue is known for her genuine kindness and her luminous and large personality. She leaves behind not only her family and friends, but an indelible impression on many of the people she encountered throughout her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the Clay Cooper Theater, 3216 W. 76 Country Blvd, Branson, MO. 65616.
