A celebration of Daniel Johnson’s life will be held at 11:00 am, October 17, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 West Battlefield, Springfield, Missouri 65807.
Daniel Lamar Johnson, age 41, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 in his family home. He was born August 31, 1978, in Fontana, California, the son of David Lee Johnson Sr. and Kay Sandra Sowers.
Daniel was a connoisseur of good music, he enjoyed video games, movies, and collectible toys.
He was united in marriage on July 26, 2013 to Shalisha Grady, in Springfield, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Sandra Sowers, and a sister, Stephanie McGee.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Shalisha Johnson; seven children, Kimahri D’Andre Johnson, Daniel Lamar Johnson Jr., Dantreale Johnson, Siara Marie Victor, Jadon Terrell Victor, James Alexander Johnson, and Mya Olivia Johnson; his father, David Lee Johnson Sr.; one biological aunt, Brenda Sowers; two uncles, Alex Sowers and Chris James Sowers; one brother, David Lee Johnson Jr.; one sister, Stacy Hart; in-laws, Latimer T. Daniel and Beverly M. Daniel; brother-in-law, Greg Horgrow and wife Kirin , and their children, Josiah, Kaimana, and Kamakana; 2 sisters-in-law, Victoria Cain and husband Benjamin, and their son, Preston, and Ebony America Horgrow; 2 nieces, Venus Elizabeth Johnson and Jordynne Taylor Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
