Daniela Rose Pfaff aka “Curveball”, aged 27 days, passed away peacefully in her parent’s arms at Mercy NICU in Springfield, MO on May 7th, 2019. Although Daniela’s prognosis is still unclear, she gained her beautiful angel wings and into the arms of Jesus at 12:51 AM.
Psalm 139:13-17
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!

The journey through Daniela’s Fathers eyes is a picture of how big our Heavenly Father really is. He is crazy about us! We hear it over and over and over people saying how big our God is. I am saying for people to really hear that! Understand what that looks like. He is that 6Lb 7 oz little baby. He is the savior of the Pfaff family. He is the people in this sanctuary. He is our church family. He is our friends all over this country and world! He is that NICU team. Through Daniela Rose’s Father’s eyes that is how big and loving our God is. We are overly blessed to have an opportunity to see just a glimpse of what that looks like. I love you so much Daniela Rose!!!
In closing, God did answer our prayers. He may have not answered my prayers in the way I selfishly wanted as human and as a mom, but he answered my prayers of the faithful woman I am. He gave us the miracles of hearing/seeing her breath on her own several hours; using us to serve as a testimony of what faith and hope look like during times of heartache and struggles. God used us for his Greater good and although Daniela’s journey on earth ended at 12:51 AM on May 7th, her journey has yet to end. God gave us such a beautiful journey with her on Earth and one we were able to share with some many people, especially with our NICU family. Daniela loved her spa days of body massages from Physical Therapy and chest percussions “CPT” from her Respiratory Therapists. She knew how to be the princess that she was. Learning from her sister of course.
All in all, this is only chapter one of her journey and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the rest of her journey through me, through her dad, through her sister. Through her grandparents. Through her NICU family. Through everyone.
Momma loves you Daniela Rose!
