On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Danikka Leigh Whiseheart, a loving daughter, sister, and friend passed away at the age of 26.

Danikka was born on September 30, 1994, in Springfield, MO to Pete and Stacey Whiseheart. Danikka graduated from Nixa High School in 2013 and pursued a promising career in insurance. She loved helping people and looking for opportunities to make a difference. She was a fierce animal lover who planned to get a house, so she could foster cats until they were placed in their forever homes. Until then, she supported organizations, like Watching Over Whiskers. Danikka was also incredibly involved in VisionCon, Missouri’s Premier Pop Culture Con. Danikka adored music, learning to play guitar, and songwriting at a young age. She also loved to draw and work with ceramics – an expressive and artistic soul. Captivated by video games, like Destiny 2, Alice: Madness Returns, and Legends of Zelda Breath of the Wild, she would get lost in them for hours. Danikka was a passionate foodie, committed to making the essential things in life the best.

Most importantly, Danikka was the most loyal and generous friend to everyone. She was a proud believer in Jesus and fostering deep fellowship with others. Danikka was the gentlest of souls who saw the best in everyone around her and had a magnificent smile, which brightened the whole world. Once she loved you, that was that! If anyone spoke against you, she was unafraid to stand up for you. If she feared that someone would hurt you, watch out! She was known for her exceptional kindness, her unforgettable wit, and her deep empathy. She was exceptionally exorbitant in how she loved others. Danikka is survived by her parents, her sister Karayah, and countless friends who are forever touched by knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East at 2:00 pm. There will be a Wake at a close family friend’s house in Danikka’s honor afterward at 3:30 pm – great food and drink along with stories – a celebration of her life.
