Danny Rushing, of Springfield, Missouri, born January 15, 1949, in Santa Maria, California, and passed away October 20, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri, leaving behind many family and friends with 72 years of memories to cherish.
Danny graduated from Cuyama High School and went on to join the Air Force where he reached the rank of E-5. After leaving the Air Force, Danny went to work with Litton/Northup Grumman where he retired from over 20 years of service.
When Danny was not at work, he could be found sitting on the riverbank catching some fish or out in the woods hunting. Danny met the love of his life Deana Myers and married her May 3, 1980.
Danny was welcomed at the heavenly gates by a few familiar faces, his parents Ivan and Eunice, his wife Deana, his two brothers Max and Ted, his son Auston, and his daughter Tanya. Those who will cherish precious memories include, his Stepdaughter Marie (Jiles) Sanderson, Six grandchildren Kelli Rushing, Dusty Sanderson, Paul Sanderson, Dylon Sanderson, Rylee Rushing, and Conner Rushing, Great-grandchildren, Hudson Sanderson, and Waylon Sanderson. Along with his beloved sisters Ivadean Fields, and Ginger (Danny) Joiner, several nephew’s and a niece, and a host of other family and friends, to cherish his memory.
The family of Danny Rushing wish to say thank you for the love and support during this very difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
