R Bailey left a message on August 31, 2018:
May the God of ‘everlasting comfort’ be with your family during this time of deep loss (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) Losing a loved one to an illness can be very devastating. Please take comfort in God’s Word the Bible at Isaiah 33:24 and Revelation 21:4. There you will find a beautiful hope for the future of our loved ones when there will be no more pain, sickness or death. (Acts 24:15) I pray these scriptures will bring you comfort and hope during this difficult time. My deepest sympathy.
Freddie Hammock left a message on August 30, 2018:
David passed away around midnight Monday evening August 27. He passed away suddenly and quietly in his sleep after a long period of decline. His wife Laura was resting nearby at the time. He is survived by his wife Laura, and his three sons: Wayne, Steve, Amos, and also his stepsons Freddie and Larry Hammock. He also had several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren. He loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed collecting and recycling aluminum cans until his illness left him unable to continue. He could be stubborn sometimes but was genial and well-liked by his numerous friends and neighbors. Until the last few years, as his dementia worsened, he could routinely be found riding his bike around the neighborhood or out at lake McDaniel fishing off the bridge with his fishing buddy Lee.
