David Payne, age 71, passed away on November 23, 2020, in his home, located in Springfield, Missouri. He was born in Springfield, on January 22, 1949, to Willard and Jaunita Connely Payne.
He was the owner of Payne’s Upholstery, where he worked from of the age of 16 up to just a few weeks before his death. He spent the last 20 years with the love of his life, Judy Bloomer Payne. He was a member of the Assembly of God. His hobbies and passions included upholstering, horse riding, and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death his parents Willard and Jaunita Connely Payne; daughter, Sherry Jones; great-grandson, Benjamin Cruse; and brothers, Robert Payne and Stanley Payne. He is survived by Judy Bloomer Payne; daughters, Faith Ann Frey (husband Bob), and Maryann Cruse (husband Mark); sons, Eugene Stevens, Wayne Young (wife Kim), and Dwight Young; grandchildren, Marky Cruse, Brittany Cruse, Dalton Young, Brian Jones, Ashley Jones, Alex Messford, Mary Mccoy, and Avery Hausback; sisters, Toinette Luttrull (husband Ronnie), Judy Phillips (husband Don), and Paula Sue; and close friends, Mike Davis, Ronnie, Derek Turley, Carl and Kay Turley.
The service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Monday, November 30, 11:00 am. The visitation will precede the service at from 10:00-11:00, with graveside at Brighton Cemetery, at 12:30.
