Dillard Silas Kaneaster, 74, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Branson won his final fight at 5:08 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019. His wife and one of his daughters were by his side. Dillard was born in Branson, MO on September 17, 1944 to Dayne and Pearl (Cooper) Kaneaster. After graduating from Branson High School he proudly served in Vietnam from April 1965 to April 1966. Dillard was preceded in death by his parents, a son David and a brother, Lester. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of the home, three daughters: Mary Long and husband Herb, Christine Eagleburger and husband Aaron and Lesli Fletcher all of Springfield, nine grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one due in July. A sister, Susan Weeks of Kissee Mills, MO and a host of cousins, other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VVA Chapter 952 of Springfield, MO or the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3-5:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 in the funeral home with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
