Dolores Fay Powell, 84 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born February 6, 1934 in Kansas City, KS to Leonard and Effie (Endsley) Brown who preceded her in death. She graduated high school in Arkansas in 1952 and worked as a key punch operator at Mid America Dairymen and as a supervisor at Hardee’s before retiring in 2006. She was married to Marvin Powell, July 20, 1970 in Miami, OK.
Preceding her in death was her husband Marvin Powell and a step-son Jeffery Powell. and granddaughter, Amber Powell; and two sisters, Betty Shirley and Bernadine Padgett Survivors include: her daughter Beverly Bonner and spouse Curtis Bonner; step-children Judy and Ray Palmer, Dennis and Nancy Powell, Tim and Vickie Powell, Marvena and Andy Groesbeck; grandchildren Nicole Muse, Stacey Bailey, Kimberly Pyle, Ryan Powell, Dustin Powell, Ashley Durham, Tracy Powell, Adrenna Powell, Erycka Powell, and Emily Powell; great-grandchildren Zachary Bailey, Emma Powell, Denver Pyle, Kaylee Powell, Liam Groesbeck, Maddy Powell.
Dolores loved gardening and tending her flowers and showing constant concern and love for her grandchildren. She cherished the Christmas season and gathering together with her family.
A graveside service will be held at the Brookline Cemetery on Saturday, November 24th at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
