Don Lee Dixon, 83 years of age, passed on June 11, 2015 at his home in Branson, MO. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Stella Madge (Wheeler) Dixon and sister, Doris Hough.
Don was born June 22, 1931 in Walnut Grove, MO. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School. Thereafter he served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He proudly served on the USS Pritchett during the Korean War.
Don was employed with Kraft Foods in Springfield, MO from 1955 to 1989 as a Refrigeration Engineer. On March 8, 1951 he married Carolyn Wood of Walnut Grove, MO. They made their home in Walnut Grove, MO., Springfield, MO., and Willard, MO., before moving to Branson, MO. Don is a member of Branson United Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and tinkering in his shop.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dixon and dog Sally of Branson, MO., his daughter, Dona Caldwell and husband Lyle of Omaha, AR., son, Stan Dixon and wife Penny of Buffalo, MO., daughter Susan Harris and husband David of Branson, MO., her grandchildren; Tami Caldwell, Justin Groves, Shannon Cannon, Nicholas Dixon, Amber Anderson, Jack Harris, Joe Anderson, Daniel Dixon, Jeff Harris and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Branson United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove, MO. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. till time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Branson United Methodist church.
