Donald E. Wagner, age 68, of Springfield passed away Monday, March 11th, 2019 surrounded by his family at Cox Hospital South due to complications of Diabetes.
Donald was born January 24, 1951 in Springfield to Melvin and Leola (Adams) Wagner. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Lawson. Donald retired from the Springfield Regional Airport. He had a passion for gardening, cooking, and history. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Wagner and wife Marie; two step-children Sharon Mansker and Tim Mansker and wife Kim; granddaughters Margaret (Wagner) Broddaus, Victoria (Wagner) Broddaus, and Sammantha (Wagner) McQueen; grandsons Austin Jackson, Alex Jackson, and Cody Smith; several other step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two nieces; a nephew; and a host of other family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rhonda (Lawson) Wagner; father, Melvin E. Wagner, and mother, Leola M. (Adams) Wagner; step-mother, Joanne (McCombs) Wagner; and a sister, Vicky (Wagner) Easley and husband Jimmy.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
