Donna Kay Owens age 83 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility Bolivar, MO. She was born September 7, 1940, in Springfield, MO, to James “Jim” Clay and Letha Aline (Morgan) Sharpensteen. She was united in marriage to Ronald Paul Owens March 8, 1960, and to this union two daughters were born. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church Bolivar, MO.
Donna Kay helped Ronald with the family business until they retired. She sold Mary Kay for many years, Tupperware, and Avon products. She enjoyed the excitement of being a Mary Kay consultant and going to the National Convention in Dallas. Most of all she loved the Lord and her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ronald; a sister Beverly Sue Hoppe; and a brother James Edward Sharpensteen.
Donna Kay is survived by her daughters: Linda Alexander and husband Kyle, and Lisa Peacock and husband Jim all of Bolivar, MO; five grandchildren: Barrett Alexander and wife Alizabeth, Bradley Alexander, Brice Alexander and wife Paige, Kayla Peacock, and James Peacock, Jr.; five great grandchildren: Turner, Maddyson, Braxtin, Colt, and Kinlee; a sister in-law Norma Walker; as well as several other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 26, 2024, at Pleasant Hope Cemetery with Pastor Greg Christopher officiating. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
