Donna L. Green passed away in her home in Springfield, MO on the morning of August 12, 2015 at the age of 80. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Bill Green, of 61 years. They were married on September 5, 1953, just 3 months before Bill was drafted. They bought their first home in Springfield, MO and that is the same home they have beautifully raised a family in all of these years. Donna had a long fulfilling life with Bill and her two children, Steven Green and Vanessa Green-White. She worked at Heer’s Department Store for 35 years and then went to Uptown Kids Daycare for 8 years before retiring in 1999. Her and Bill loved to travel, ride motorcycles, water ski, camp, and spent many weekends at the lake with their kids and grandkids. Donna loved to bowl and was the Director of the Women’s Bowling Association for 20 years. She played Bingo with her sisters and friends weekly. She also had a love for purses and her very large collection is still neatly displayed in her bedroom. Her biggest hobby would have been being a Nana. Donna had 6 Grandkids; Brooke Hull-Mosley, Landon Hull, Brandon White, Stephanie Green, Jennifer Green-Fief, and Steven Green. She also had 5 Great-Grandkids; 4 Girls and 1 boy. She would gladly tell you she spoiled them all rotten. The visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 North National, from 9:30am-10:30am on Saturday, August 15, 2015. A graveside service will immediately follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospices of America Foundation, 2135 S. Eastgate Springfield, MO 65809 or at www.chafoundation.org.
