Doris...you were such a light in my life. Friendly, welcoming, hospitable. I knew you for 44 years, and it was a joy to be part of your life and to have you in mine. You are missed more than you know. Jack is now joining you. Enjoy seeing one another again, and I will see you when I get there! (I didn't know this existed until now!)

Doris' Mom, Lila Bell Meaders Thompson, was a sister to my paternal grandfather, John Henry Meaders, Sr. I found 2 very nice 8x10 b/w photos of my Grandpa's entire family in Mom's things after she died in 2017. This address was on the sheets w the names: Donald Jack and Doris J. London, 1940 Huckleberry Ct., Eureka, CA 95503-6587. So well done, the photos and the names! Thank you! Would love to hear from any family or friends.

I just heard of the passing of Doris and initially my heart sank & pained. Then I remembered her immense beauty inside and out, her compassion for so many, her devotion to learning and teaching, her never-ending smile & extension of love, and her incredible devotion to Jack, her family and the members of the EWC. It was my great honor to meet her in the EWC, to share in so many activities with her & Jack, and to be blessed with her mentoring & support when I stepped up to take on the position of President of the EWC, years ago. Since she left Eureka, I have missed her so much, but felt so happy that she would be surrounded by her loving, devoted family who adored her immensely. I remember how excited she was to be going home, and now she is in her final destination where her faith resides. I extend my love and compassion to Jack, Laura, and all of her loving family. May you be blessed by the many sweet memories of her and feel her loving presence watching over you all! Love, Janne
