Dorothy Belden passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2009. She was born on March 10, 1925, to Carl and Martha Weberg, in Salina, Kansas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Rev. Ivan Lee Belden, on February 20, 1943. When Lee passed away last year, they had been married 65 years and had six children. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, James, who died in action while serving his country in World War II and received the Purple Heart; and her brother, Kenneth. She is survived and greatly missed by three sons, Michael and wife, Millie, Timothy, and James and wife, Janice; three daughters, Susan Brown and husband, Thom, Rebecca Stroud, and Mary Roberts and husband, Richard; and a large extended family, including her “Little Sis”, Charlene Belden and husband, Ernest. Dorothy lived her life as a wonderful example of devotion to God and family. She was a retired mail carrier and she treasured her many wonderful friends from that career. Open visitation will be Sunday, November 15, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, beginning at noon, with family members being present from noon to 2 p.m. The funeral will be Monday, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home, with burial to follow.
