Douglas James “D.J.” McDonald, age 30, passed away on February 25, 2016 in St. Louis, MO. He was born on May 6, 1985 in Springfield, MO. D.J. attended school K-8 in Cabool, MO then attended and graduated from Marshfield High School. He attended Evangel College for a brief time after graduating high school. D.J. was the Commissary Manager for Centec Group, he attended Cabool Christian Church and Hillside Christian Church. He loved making jewelry, doing home renovations and traveling to Florida. D.J. was a loyal, caring and thoughtful son, brother and friend with a huge heart and he smiled all the time. He loved to visit Florida. His sister described him as bold and brave. We will miss him unspeakably, he is gone to soon.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Speake, his grandparents, Lee and Fern McDonald, cousin Claire Speake, aunt Evelyn Johnson and an uncle. D.J. is survived by his father, Roger McDonald, his mother, Debra Ankiewicz, his brother, Adam McDonald, his sister, Coral Sarracino and her husband Manny, his grandmother, Delores Speake, his nephew, Justin Sutton, his cousins, Charles, James, Eddie, Israel Speake, Marie Cooper, Amanda Handy, and Cindy, aunt Melody Bloxsom and uncles Wesley, Mark and Eric Speake, along with his best friend, Loretta Fincher and other friends Linda, Brandy, Jessica and Gidget.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 2:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, in Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
