Drucilla B. Gard left this world on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the age of 99 years and 6 months old.
She was born in Bois D'arc, MO on December 23, 1919 to Curtis and Lora (Baldwin) Bean. As
Drucilla got older, her family moved to Springfield, MO, where they decided to stay.
One of her first jobs was at the old Lilly Tulip plant, but most of her time working was spent in retail. She attended Southside Baptist for many years.
Drucilla loved to travel and discover new places that took her all over the country. She was an avid reader of history and loved learning about the past. She also loved The Price is Right and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She also loved spoiling her grandchildren, who always knew right where she kept the cookies.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Curtis and Lora Bean, a sister, Beulah May Bean, a brother, Clyde F. Bean, a son, Max D. Owen, her first husband, Don Owen, and her second husband, Lovell Gard.
She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Beebe of Aurora, a stepson, Benny Gard (Barbara),
3 grandchildren, Buddy Wilson of Aurora, Kim Kauflin (Edward) of Springfield, and Karla Farmer
(John), and 2 step grandchildren, plus 6 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
There will be graveside services held at John's Chapel in Ash Grove, MO Saturday June 29, 2019 at 11:00AM.
