Earnestine (Teen) Stokes, 86, died November 2, 2014 at the hospital in Harrisonville, Missouri. Teen was born December 8, 1927 to Earnest and Ollie Medley of Springfield. She married Grant Stokes on July 27, 1946 and to this union two sons were born; Ricky and Randy.
She is survived by son; Richard Wayne Stokes (and wife, Judy), a daughter-in-law; Mary Stokes of Greenfield, Missouri, three sisters-in-law; Bettie Stokes, Wanda Dillard of Brighton and Arvilla Fieth of Pleasant Hope, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Olive, husband Dr. Grant Stokes, son, Randy stokes, and two sisters, bonnie Burton and Louise Cunningham.
Teen was a faithful, devoted wife and mother as her husband pastored churches in Bolivar, Noble Hill, Shawnee Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri, Table Rock Lake, Missouri, and Abilene, Kansas.
Services will be Thursday, November 6 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield with Dr. James Sewell officiating. Visitation will be at 10 A.M. until the funeral at 11 A.M. Interment will be at Clear Creek Cemetery under the care and direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Springfield, Missouri.
