Funeral services for Edd Lee Miller age 92 of Branson, Mo. will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Branson with officiating Pastor Joel Krueger. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with full military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
He died July 5, 2015 at his home in Branson.
He was born on May 15, 1923 the son of Frank and Edith Miley Miller at Birch Tree, Missouri. He retired as vice president of Highway Oil Company, A. B. Hudson, owner. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Branson and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Helen Matilda Cecilia Opalka Miller of the home. Four children; Dale Lee Miller (Suzanne) of Lawrence, Kansas, Judy Lynn Robirds (Raymond) of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Susan Marie Akin (John) of Topeka, Kansas and John Kenneth Miller (Ralf) of Berlin, Germany. Two brothers, Robert Miller of Kansas City, Kansas, and John Miller of Dracut, Mass., six sisters; Loeta Hunley of Kansas City, Missouri, Velma Maples of Nixa, Missouri, Patty Thomas of Birch Tree, Missouri, Ann Ledgerwood of Udill, Missouri, Ida Brehmof Grain Valley, Missouri and Alice Ashmore of New Albany, Mississippi and Ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the funeral home.
