Edwin Joseph Patron, 86, of Springfield, MO passed away September 30, 2019
at Cox Medical South. Ed was born October 9, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, and
was a resident of Springfield, Mo for many years. He retired from the Missouri
Division of Employment, and maintained friendships with many of his co-workers.
Ed was a proud decorated veteran of the United States Army. He was a member
of the Elks 409 Lodge, Korean Veterans Group, and Big Deer Investment Club all of Springfield, MO. He was also a former member of Immaculate Conception Church. Ed loved to dance, and he and Loyce “Snooks” Washburn danced together for 27 years, enjoying every moment. He was a car enthusiast, especially Lincoln automobiles and traded them often. Ed loved working in his yard and would help neighbors with anything he could do for them.
Ed was a ‘Godsent’ person to Loyce’s children and granddaughter. Whenever they needed him he was there.
Ed leaves many family members and friends to mourn his passing.
