Elda L. Mackay (nee Piepenbrink) peacefully went to be with our Lord in Lenexa, KS, on March 21 at the age of 99. Elda is survived by her children: daughter Lurline D. McCorry of Albuquerque, NM; son Jay D. Mackay and his wife Jeanne of Lenexa; daughter-in-law Melinda Mackay of Auburn, KS, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David J. Mackay of Auburn, KS.Elda was born on October 17, 1916, to Fred and Mary Piepenbrink of Lockwood, MO. She was dedicated to her Lord, family, friends, church and community. Her home was always open to all. She resided in Springfield, MO, for 53 years and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield.The funeral is scheduled for March 28, 2016, at 11:00 am, with viewing at 10:00, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood. Luncheon is provided at the church following internment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Minert, MO. Officiates include Rev. Gary Griffin, Rev. Robert Weinkauf and Rev. Marcus Mackay.
