M. Elizabeth Dickey Willhite 3/26/1916-8/3/2009 Maud Elizabeth was born in Willard, Mo., to parents Fred and Effie Dickey. Her father was the railroad agent for two train lines and they moved to Walnut Grove, Mo in 1918. She was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School class of 1933. Her classmates (30 members) have remained very close through all these years. She was active with the alumni association and never missed a reunion and was looking forward to the one in 2010. She retired as a Supervisor in the Food Service Department of the Springfield Public Schools and volunteered with St. John’s Auxilliary. She was a member of South Street Christian Church. Preceded in death by parents; husband, King Willhite; two brothers, Lando Dickey and Ancel Dickey. Survived by two daughters, Faylene Hall and Judy (Don) Plaster. A special niece, Janet Dickey.
