Elna R. Bizzell, born November 13, 1932, in Pontotoc, Mississippi went to her heavenly home November 15, 2019; in Cox South Hospital after a short illness. Elna was a graduate of “Ole Miss”, soon after she started teaching elementary school and made a career of it as she loved teaching and loved kids. She moved from north Mississippi to Memphis and continued her career with the Memphis school system. Eventually she moved to Kimberling City and again restarted her teaching career with the Reeds Spring school district teaching 1st grade where she retired after teaching for 32 years. Elna loved to cook, travel, and going to antique shows to find depression glass.

Elna is preceded in death by her father, Toye Russell, her mother LaRue Russell and one sister Betty R. Walker.

She is survived by her beloved husband Roy D. “Dave” Bizzell, one son Russell, his wife Ivy, three grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan Bizzell, and Holly Bizzell. Elna also had five great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kendall, Kinsley, Kota and Isaiah Bizzell.

Services for Elna will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with visitation prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
