Emily Ann was born on January 30th, 1999 in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2017 and went on to Oral Roberts University and attended for 2 years as a vocal music major, then she went to OTC for 1 year and sang in the choir. She was also a member of Mid-America Choir and participated in shows at the Springfield Little Theater, Springfield Chamber Choir, and Ozark Lyric Opera. If anyone was to ask Emily what were the most important things in her life were, her answer would be family and friends, the Lord, singing, and animals. Emily always had a passion for singing and had the voice of on angel on earth; we can only imagine how beautiful she sounds now. Emily’s true passion and purpose in life was to show the Lord’s love in every part of her life. Emily always had the most pure and caring heart and everyone that knew her would agree.
Although Emily’s long battle with Cancer was hard, she never let that define who she was. Instead she used it to reach and touch as many people as she could with the Lord’s love. Emily has touched more people then she will ever know. Even though she is missed dearly by so many she is finally healed and is no longer in any pain.
“I know the road you walked was anything but easy you picked up your share of scars along the way but now you’re standing in the sun, you’ve fought your fight and your race is run the pain is all a million miles away. The only scars in Heaven, they won’t belong to me and you there’ll be no such thing as broken, and all the old will be made new and the thought that makes me smile now, even as the tears fall down is that the only scars in Heaven are on the hands that hold you now” Scars in Heaven by Casting Crowns
