Eugenia M. Myers of Eugene, Oregon, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 in the home of her daughter in Springfield, Missouri, where she had spent the past year. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Eugenia anxiously awaited the day she would be re-united with her husband Vincent Myers, who preceded her in death. They were married on August 04, 1946, and had forty-one years of marriage before his passing.
Eugenia was a devoted Christian and loved to share about her trip to the Holy Land. She was well-known by all of her children and grandchildren as a “card shark.” She loved to play dominos and cards. Eugenia always said she didn’t remember how to play, but won the game every time. Favorite activities for Eugenia were gardening, yard work in her own yard, and helping the neighbors with their yards. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being on the ocean, and any other activity in the sunshine.
Eugenia was preceded in death by eight siblings; her husband Vincent; and her daughter Mary Ruthie. She is survived by her daughter Lisa and husband Greg; her daughter Debbie and husband Randy; and her son Mark. Her grandchildren include Michael and Courtney; Tyler and Brittanie; Tiffeny; Amy and Brittany. Eugenia’s great-grandchildren are Drake, Dharma, Morgan, Garrett, Osric, Elle, Stephen, Camden, and Hayden.
Eugenia’s remains will be interred at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Eugene, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held in late spring, 2020, with the date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Integrity Hospice.
