Eva Nileen Wells, age 95, of Willard, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020. Eva was born June 21st, 1925, to Lynn and Ella (Crist) Slaybaugh. Eva Nileen Wells, age 95, of Willard, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020. Eva was born June 21st, 1925, to Lynn and Ella (Crist) Slaybaugh.
Preceding Eva in death were her parents; a son, Stephen Eugene; her husband, Leonard B Wells; and three grandsons, Jeffery Bill, John Arthur, and Joseph Eugene.
Survivors include her daughters Sharon Sterling and husband Tom; Shirley Hampton and husband Marty; Sheryl Garcia; Sheila Briley and husband Doyle; a son Billy Wells and wife Barbara.
Eva is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and sixteen great great grandchildren.
Eva enjoyed flowers and working in the garden as much as possible. She adored the grandchildren. Eva loved attending church and was a faithful member of New Life Baptist Church in Willard, MO.
Eva was known in the family for her Cherry Supreme pie, her wonderful yeast rolls and her devil eggs that were fought over at every family dinner.
She will be greatly missed, and we have the comfort that she is celebrating with Jesus.
Visitation for Eva will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Thursday, October 22, 2020. The graveside service follows at 2:30 p.m. afterward in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
