Evelyn Lorene Randolph, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Springfield, MO. She was born on April 07, 1926 to Willie Burton Mallory and Millie Louise Bowman in Mansfield, MO. She married James H. Randolph on August 30, 1946 and he preceded her in death. She was the youngest of nine children. Lorene is reunited with her husband and sweetheart of 56 years James H. Randolph. She was preceded in death by her son Bobby, daughter Kathryn and her five brothers and three sisters. A loving mother and grandmother Lorene is survived by her children, Ron(Sue) Randolph, Bonnie (Donnie)Tennis , Son in law Joe Blevins, Larry(Julie) Randolph , ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Raised during the years of the depression her work ethic was always evident whether she was caring for her family, canning homegrown tomatoes and green beans or working 25 years at the Dayco Springday Plant until her retirement in 1984. She was a longtime member of the Berean Baptist Church. She found a new home at Maranatha Village where she was happy for the first time since the passing of her husband, because of the loving personal care of the entire staff and her Doctor Martin Alumno. Because of the people of Marantha, we were able to keep our promise made to our father that she would be treated like a Queen the way he had always treated her. Her comments daily to visitors were” They treat me good, food great, I can have all the ice cream I want.” Visitation will be Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, North Chapel. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10: 00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
