Frances Louise Lindquist, 91, of Springfield, MO passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, after a short battle with pneumonia. She was born April 21, 1923, in Billings, MO to Edward and Mary (Pieter) Wagemann. She was married to Walter J. Lindquist for over 47 years. In recent years, Frances enjoyed having two homes, one in Springfield, MO and one in North Padre Island, TX, with her daughters.
Working as a registered nurse for over 40 years, Frances had a heart for service. In her retirement, she continued to give by using her love of knitting to make throws which she donated to the Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. She also loved to make quilts and cook for her family.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Lindquist, two children, Mary Sue Frazier and Robert Wayne Frazier. She is survived by two daughters: Nancy Edwards and her husband Larry of North Padre Island, TX, and Susan Schuetz and her husband Brian of Battlefield, MO; and four grandchildren: Krysta Highley, Wes Highley and his wife Julie, Lyndsey D’Onofrio and her husband Dan, and Nick Frazier.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home South and graveside services will be held on Friday, December 12 at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Springfield Victory Mission or C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue, Springfield, MO.
