Fred Albert Bogart passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ May 02, 2021 at the grand age of 91 . Born in Mansfield, Mo to Charles and Clella (Ryan) Bogart. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Upon returning, he met and married the love of his life Loretta Willard. They were blessed with a daughter Cynthia Lea.
He graduated from MSU on the GI Bill then worked at the Federal Medical Center retiring after 20 yrs. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Henry (Kathleen), Floyd (Lois), and twin Ted (Bette).
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, daughter and son-in law Cynthia and Frank Fay, nephews Dean Bogart (Doris), Alan Bogart (Michelle), David Bogart (Marge) and niece Carol Wadley (Larry).
Fred enjoyed his family, playing cards and talking about old cars.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11 Springfield Mo, or Honor Flight of the Ozarks.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 North National Ave., Springfield, MO. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
