Galin Roy Campbell, 45, surrounded by all of his family, went to be with Jesus on June 4th at 5:31 p.m. at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Galin finally won his nearly year-long battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer. Galin was born March 25th, 1974, in Independence, Missouri, to Dallas and Naomi (Cole) Campbell. On June 12th, 1993, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Galin married his best friend and love of his life, Charla Anne Morgan. Galin started his working years on his family’s farm, then later was a home builder in Springfield, Missouri, where he was a member of the HBA. Later, Galin traveled and erected steel buildings. For the last several years, Galin, alongside his brother, Arlan Campbell and eldest son Matt Campbell, has been a vital team member, leader, and massive positive influencer at SteelTech of the Ozarks in Monett, Missouri. At a young age, Galin surrendered his life to Christ and spent his years on earth being a servant leader, mentor, teacher, and friend. Galin had a way of making anyone around him feel special and loved. Galin’s heart for the lost and hurting was indescribably enormous. He would never take credit for any good that people so often noticed in him, but instead, he always gave credit to Christ in him. Galin is survived by his beautiful bride of almost 26 years, Charla Anne Campbell, and their 5 children: Matt Roy Campbell and wife Jerusha, of Springfield, Brittany Anne Campbell of the home and fiancé, Clint Squires, Kayla Brooke Campbell, Lily Grace Campbell and Jaxson Ray Campbell also of the home; his Daddy, Dallas Campbell of Granby, MO; his Mother, Naomi Campbell of Stark City, MO; his 7 sisters and their spouses: Lenita and Doug Wall of Edmond, OK, Regina and Stan Witham of Inola, OK, Deneasa and Marshall Allen of Neosho, MO, Raleah and Jason Murphey of Guthrie, OK, Sannetta and Greg Marsh of Billings, MO, Lacinda and Duane Linch of Stark City, MO, and Kristia and Shane Reeves of Neosho, MO; and 4 brothers: Linus Campbell and Chandra Noteware of Springfield, MO, Arlan and Karla Campbell of Stark City, MO, Lindell and Patina Campbell of Ozark, MO, and Darran and Julie Campbell of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by lots of nieces and nephews each of whom believed that they were Uncle Galin’s most favorite: Garrett, Autumn, Clay, Willow, Sarah, Andrea, Lindsey, Kaylee, Tyler, Linessa, Tanner, Heather, Brenda, Rodney, Travis, Darla, Marlan, Kylan, Kyla, Jaród, Jarél, Hudson, Brooklyn, Saylor, Tara, Tyra, James, Devan, Cameron, Preston, Mason and Olivia, as well as several great nieces and nephews, countless friends and extended family whom Galin loved dearly. Galin is preceded in death by his eldest sister, Melissa LaFaye (Campbell) Linch and grandbaby, Shiloh Campbell. We take comfort in knowing that Galin is reunited with his sister and having a blast being a grandpa!
