Garold Eugene Richards, age 71, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the VA Hospital Fayettville, AR. He was born December 22, 1944, in Venton, IA, to Henry and Flossie (Barton) Richards. He attended the Cowboy Church in Springfield, MO. He is a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father; a nephew Warren Richards, Jr. and a son-in-law, Pat Murphy.
He is survived by his mother Flossie Richards of Pleasant Hope, MO; two children: Garold Richards, II of Conway, MO, and Rhonda Richards of Pleasant Hope, MO; a daughter-in-law, Tonya Richards; six grandchildren: Geoffrey, Rebekah, Marissa, Joshua, Laine, and Joseph; two great grandchildren: Lilly and Aiden; a brother Warren Richards of Raymondville, MO; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hope Cemetery, Pleasant Hope, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2016, in the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
