Georgia Weter Tucker passed away March 10, 2016. She was born June 16, 1928 in Crane, MO to Robert Lee and Kate Marie Barnes.
Georgia’s faith in God and love for her family were the driving forces in her life. She took great joy in life caring for her family. She was an expert seamstress and excellent cook. She worked on assembly lines for Royal McBee and G.E. for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Union Hill Church of Christ in Nixa and previously Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Tucker, two brothers; Jimmie and Ruel, and two sisters; Hollie and Ellen. Georgia leaves behind, children Michael Weter and wife Heather of Ozark, and Donna Weter of Chadwick, grand children: Jason Weter and wife Jennifer of Springfield, Kerri Krivis and husband John of Winston-Salem, NC, Kelsey Weter, Christopher Willis and wife Kayla of Kansas City, and Clayton Willis and wife Kathy of Pierce City, great-grand children: Reese Weter, Avery, Brady, and Callan Krivis, Brinley Willis, three brothers: Van, Kenneth and Lynn Barnes, sister; Chloe Gaddis, two step-children; Gina and husband Steve Crump of Ozark, and Randy and wife Melvina Tucker of Willard, and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will start at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial donations be made to the Fairhaven Children’s Home.
