Gerald McGehee, 79, of Springfield, passed away on August 6, 2009. He was born November 28, 1929, in Strafford, Mo., and graduated from Strafford High School. Gerald McGehee, 79, of Springfield, passed away on August 6, 2009. He was born November 28, 1929, in Strafford, Mo., and graduated from Strafford High School. Gerald was a Korean War Veteran and a meat cutter. He married Naomi Hyden McGehee on March 26, 1955 in Springfield. Gerald was a member of Springfield Bible Church and Scottish Rite volunteer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi. He is survived by children, Sharon and Larry Henslee, Ruth and Butch Napier; grandchild, Kristen Marshall; great-grandchild, Cooper Marshall; sister, Anita McMullin; and friend, Pastor Kurt Zachary. Funeral services will be held on August 10, 2009, at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial following. Visitation will be held on August 9, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Gerald’s honor to the American Heart Association.
