Giles “Larry” Steffen went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Steffen, of Hollister, his children , Gloria Kennedy (husband Clifton) of Kilgore, Texas, Lisa McIntosh (husband Tom) of Bakersfield, California, Greg Steffen (wife Lisa) of San Rafael, California, Sheila Steffen of New York, New York, and Rosemarie Bunch of Port Hueneme, California. He is preceded in heaven by son, Mark Todd Steffen and his mother and father. Larry also has 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He served as a Corsair pilot in the Navy in WWII and graduated from USC in California with an electrical engineering degree. He spent most of his career at Hughes Aircraft in California and was the test director for the first soft landing on the moon as well as a number of other space craft launches. Larry and Marguerite moved to Hollister in 1995 from California. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, December 3rd from 5:00-7:00 at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church of Branson on Friday, December 4th at 1:00 followed by internment with military honors at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery
