Gladys Aleen Thomas Ahearn 87, Willard, MO. passed away peacefully Sunday, March 8, 2020, in her home. She was born July 5, 1932 in Bush, Arkansas to Joseph Elmer and Lydia (Ash) Thomas. She was a graduate of Draughn Business College, in 1988. She retired in 1986, from Gospel Publishing House, after 20 years in the Bindery. She then worked as a secretary for 30 years with AG Financials, before retiring in 2018 at 85. She was a long-time member of Northside Assembly of God Church. She loved the Lord, her family, quilting, gardening, and reading.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wesley Ahearn, they were married on July 12, 1953, in Oak Grove, Arkansas. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Howard, Alvin, and Harold Thomas, her son-in-law: Mark Wilson, and her sister, Betty June Etchison. She is survived by her son: David Allen Ahearn, daughters Jeanetta Aleen Ahearn Wilson, Jeanetta Marie Ahearn LaBrie (Marcus), nine grandchildren: Michael, Travis, and Trevor Ahearn, Alex, Kelly and Marshall Wilson, Issac & Ethan Guinn, and Coleton LaBrie, eight great-grandchildren: Wesley, Logan, Shelby, Melody, Emma & Denver Ahearn, Connor & Lainey Wilson, and one great-great-grandchild: Rex Ahearn, her sister, Rowena Thomas Titus, twelve nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial at 3:00 p.m. in Reddick Cemetery, near Garfield, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
