I was shocked and saddened today to learn of Greg's passing. Our family moved to Marionville in the summer of 1974 and as a star of the Comets, Greg was someone I looked up to. I will always remember his high arcing jump shot and his friendly demeanor. Rest in peace Mr. McCord, you were a true gentleman!

I saw someone post about Greg on FB today. I was shocked to hear this. I only had the pleasure to to meet you one time when you were with Greg at a conference. Everyone knew Greg - and everyone enjoyed being around him and he always had the great smile. From visiting with Greg you knew he loved his family (and the Cardinals). He talked about his family a lot. Prayers to you and your family. I wish I would have been able to contact him the last time I was in the area.

I just found out about Greg's passing and I'm so very saddened that his family and friends have lost such a vibrant man way too soon. I became acquainted with Greg through business, and then golf, over the last several years and already considered him a friend I wanted to know for a long time. My heartfelt condolences to his family that he fondly talked to me about on several occasions.

I last saw Greg at Walgreens. He was getting school supplies with his daughter, they had just met the new teacher. I was in complete sadness because I was there to pick up meds for my mom who was dying. I loved seeing him. He was a familiar face in a lonely time. Rest in Peace Greg.
