Hannah (Corbin) Mullings, age 84, of Brighton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Magnolia Square. She was born June 6, 1926, in Bois D’Arc, Mo., to Oliver and Itilla (Binkley) Corbin, and was a lifelong resident of the Willard and Brighton areas. Hannah graduated from Willard High School in 1945. She was a member of the Pleasant Hope United Methodist Church. Hannah retired from Safe-Way after 29 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends and family. Hannah and Kenneth Mullings were united in marriage on May 3, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Itilla Corbin; two brothers Jack Corbin and Roland Corbin; and four sisters Wilma Carpenter, Verla Snider, Frances Williams and Florence Blanton.
She is survived by her husband of over 51 years Kenneth Mullings, Brighton, Mo.; one brother Lowell “Bud” Corbin and wife Celestine “Sally” of Willard; sister-in-law Angela Corbin of Willard, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, December 24, 2010, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Mo., with Rev. Chuck Meppelink officiating. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Mo. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Hospice or Pleasant Hope United Methodist Church Building Fund, 301 West Cowden Street, Pleasant Hope, Missouri 65725. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Mo.
