Harold McSwain
Harold McSwain peacefully stepped into Heaven on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. He was born to Clyde and Pearl (Manning) McSwain on July 7, 1923, and married Ruby (Essary) on December 28, 1941. To this union was born two sons, Larry and Wayne; and a daughter, Jeanne (McSwain) Carpenter. Harold was an extremely proud husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and helped his family in any way possible. Harold served in the USAF Ground Crew during World War II. He retired from Foremost Dairy in 1980. Harold loved to hunt, fish, and work in his yard. He was a loyal and dedicated servant of Christ, an ordained deacon and Sunday school teacher. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Private family graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. The family expresses great appreciation for the compassionate care given to Harold, his wife and children, especially during these last few months. Memorial contributions may be designated to St. John’s Hospice.
