Harry Lavern Nicodemus was born February 20th, 1931 and left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ February 8th, 2021.
He leaves two Sons, Dennis and wife Bonnie Nicodemus of Springfield, Missouri. Terry and wife Shelia Nicodemus of Willard, Missouri. One sister Cora Mae Roberts of Springfield, Missouri. Three grand children Lori Nicodemus-Parker and husband Kirk of Homer Georgia. Tammy Nicodemus-Woolsey and fiancé Shawn Stockton of Eudora, Missouri. Chris Nicodemus of Springfield. One great-grandson Tucker Woolsey of Willard, Missouri. One great-granddaughter Hazelynn Woolsey of Eudora, Missouri. And a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
Also, his extended family three grandchildren sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
Harry was married to the love of his life, Hazel Irene Medcalf on April 25th 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Walter Nicodemus and Lena Mae Nicodemus. His wonderful wife of 66 years, whom he loved with all his heart, Hazel Irene Medcalf-Nicodemus. Brothers Billy Nicodemus on who passed Aug. 6, 2011, Walter Lee Nicodemus who died at birth. One sister Rosa Lee who died at birth.
Harry was saved by the grace of God at a young age while attending Schofield Missionary Baptist Church in Polk county Missouri where his parents were members. He was baptized and became a member of Schofield Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1956 Harry became one of the Charter members of True Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri where he remained a faithful member till his passing.
Harry served in the United States Marine Corps April 8th, 1952 – March 19th, 1954.

For the past 9 months, since the passing of the love of his life Hazel, Bonnie and Dennis has giving Harry 24-hour care in their home. All the Family appreciates their loving kindness towards him. We all want Bonnie and Dennis to know they are in our prayers.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him however, we that have been saved by the Grace of God will see him again at Jesus feet in heaven on day.
Services for Harry will be at 10:00 AM Monday, February 15, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 am prior to the service.
Interment with full military honors will be at 2:00 Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Schofield Cemetery.
