Mr. Henry Lewis “Bill” Dohle, age 93 of Halfway, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in Cox South Hospital. He was born September 8, 1915, in Polk County, MO, to John Jacob and Mary Ellen Dohle. Bill was saved at a young age. He was united in marriage to Wanda Mae Dodd on January 25, 1941, and to this union two sons were born. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church all of his life.
His parents; his wife Wanda; a son Johnny William Dohle; a granddaughter Lisa J. Covert, and one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son Joe and wife Debbie Dohle of Halfway; daughter-in-law Mardel Skinner; two grandchildren Debbie and husband Todd Graves of Morrisville, Dean and wife Stacy Dohle of Halfway; four great grandchildren Chad Graves, Jessica Covert, Andrew Covert and Grant Dohle.
Bill loved farming, he loved being in the woods and had cut all his wood for heat up until March of 2009. He loved getting together with family and singing. Fishing with his buddies was a favorite pastime.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2009 in Pitts Chapel with Rev. Joe Sprague and Rev Doyle Mayfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday.
