Iva D. (Burnell ) Hocklander, age 98, Polo, MO passed away Friday, November 16th, 2018 at Ravenwood Assisted Living, Springfield, MO .

Iva was born December 1, 1919 in Polo, MO to George and Doshia Burnell . She was a graduate of Polo High School. Iva was united in marriage to Harold Hocklander on August 31, 1940. Iva and her husband lived on the Polo family farm for many years. She was a member of Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church, where she was very active. Iva loved to cook, play Bingo, and paint, she spent her life taking care of her son, Richard until he passed away in 2011. The greatest love of Iva's life was spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her two grandchildren, Travis Hocklander and wife Shawna, Nixa and Traci Katzfey and husband Rod, Newnan, GA; four great grandchilden, Mandisha, Chanavor, Kailey, and Lauren; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Hocklander, her parents, George and Doshia Burnell, two sons, Ronald and Richard Hocklander; and brothers and sister.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church 6951 SW Hwy 116, Polo, MO 64671. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Prairie Ridge Chrsitian Union Church 6951 SW HWY. 116 Polo, Missouri 64671, with burial to follow at Prairie Ridge Cemetery in Polo, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church.
