Ivan was a wonderful, kind and caring man. I loved to listen to him singing to my mother. He treated my mother with genuine love and respect. The smiles he provoked in people he met was testament to his kindness. I also loved hearing his stories and there were many. Ivan, you will be missed.

I only had Ivan in my life for a short time. But whether he was telling stories of when he was a boy working the farm, or about his time in the National Guard, I enjoyed every minute. He was a kind and caring man and who fell in love with mother after they both lost the loves of their lives and thought they would be alone. I believe fate brought them together to share a special kind of love one more time. He was a true gentleman with a heart of gold and I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace Ivan, Love, Kelly

Ivan was a very sweet man and a loving partner to my grandmother Sandy. I enjoyed listening to his farm stories and watching him ask Gran to get up and dance while at the dinner table. He will be dearly missed. Our deepest sympathies to his family and friends from the Giordano’s.

Dearest Ivan We were so fortunate to have to 2 great loves in our lives. You and JoAnne married almost 61 years and Jerry and I, 62 yrs . After we lost them we were just two lonely people until one day after church Mary Van Driel came over and said she was sorry that she couldn’t drive me to see the Letterman and go to the dinner at Thai Thai with our Pointe Royale group. I said that’s ok. I wont go. I don’t drive at night and you popped up and said “I drive at night. I will take you.” We enjoyed each others company so much, we decided to go out on Thursday nights and on Sunday mornings to church together. After awhile you asked me to go steady with you. We were pretty old already but remember you asked me to promise you 10yrs. And I did. It was only 61/2 But we had happy years. We really loved each other and our families. For the last 6 months of your life to the day we moved from our house in Branson and all our friends and church friends to the Castlewood Independent Senior Living Complex in Nixa where we have made many new friends who also enjoyed your laughter and singing. I love you Ivan. We will miss you, but we have our Faith and know you are now in a better place where we will all be someday God Bless You Ivan. Love, Sandy your loving partner

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Ivan. I was a teacher in the Renville Schools when Ivan was the superintendent. I will always remember him as a kind, fair, compassionate, and progressive educational leader for the school. Special condolences to his family during this difficult time. Especially to Kris and Julie whom I remember as students of mine. Eternal peace, Mr. Eckstrom.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
