Jacquelyn L. Woods, age 72, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 19, 1941, in Kansas City, KS, to Wilbur and Mary (Pullen) Woods. She enjoyed attending Cowboy Church. Jacquelyn enjoyed spending her time at the North Side Senior Center, and dancing with her many friends, she was actively involved in the Meals on Wheels program at the center. She also volunteered her time as a care giver, to families that just needed someone to sit with them. Jacquelyn’s greatest love was spending time with her children, and all of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Wilbur and Mary Elizabeth Woods; one grandson, Darren Cameron; and a great-granddaughter, Keelie Neill. She is survived by her loving children,Dan Hopkins and wife Karen of Bolivar, MO,Denise Cameron of Bolivar, MO,Dirk Hopkins and wife Janet of Kansas City, KS,Lora Neill of Campbell, MO,Sherri Case and husband Jamison of Springfield, MO,Mike Wimmer and wife Tonya Springfield, MO; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadine Marshall of Kansas City, Kansas and Kathleen White of Kansas City, KS; one brother, Terry Woods and wife Michelle of Olathe, KS; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home . Memorial contributions may be made to the North Side Senior Center .
