James D. Low passed away on January 3rd, 2015 at the age 77 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Jim was born in Fair Grove, MO the son of the late Oscar and Erma Low. James (Jim) is survived by his wife Sheryl Low of 51 years. To this union was born three sons who were his pride and joy; Chris (Shelly) Low of Springfield, Clark (Jodi) Low of Fair Grove, and Corey Low of Rogersville. A sister Helen Magers of Springfield, sister in-law Rosalie Carroll of Springfield and a brother Bernard Low of California; Also eight Grandchildren, ensuring his well-known kind smile and self-less heart will live on.
Jim graduated from Tarkio College and earned a B.S. in Business Management in 1990. He also served his country with honor for 30 years in the National Guard, Navy, and Air Force Reserves. After 25 years he retired from MFA tire in Springfield and continues to work part-time at Wick’s Truck Trailers for 7 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and being with his family. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, January the 5th at Greenlawn Funeral Home North from 6-8pm. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 6th at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home of Strafford.
