James Michael Delp (Mike) 58 of Springfield went to be our Heavenly Father on March 14, 2015, after being a warrior battling some very long and multiple illnesses.
Mike is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Patricia (Daughtry) Delp, one daughter and son -in-law; Mandy & Tony Candella, four grandchildren; Sierra D. Irvine, Dakota M. Irvine, Chance A. Rache & Cheyenne G. Rache,, as well as by both of his parents; Jimmy & Barbara Delp, of Springfield, MO, one older sister; Vickie Salanski, Independence, MO, one younger sister; Karen (Delp) Barrett, of Springfield, also 2-nephews and 3 nieces.
Milke was a hard worker as a Machinest with Frisco/BNSF Railroad for 42 years. He had a deep and protective love for his family and friends. When Mike loved, he loved with his whole heart. He was compassionate about saving and rescuing animals. He had a great love for birds, the outdoors, motorcycles, and making fun plans with his wife for retirement. Mikes’ family loved him beyond measure. Saying that he will be missed terribly, doesn’t bring justice to it’s depth. He suffers no more and has been delivered unto the merciful hands of our Sovereign Lord. Till we meet again our Beloved. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with visitation being from 2:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date.
